Now you’ve finished your degree, join us to begin your accountancy career.

For graduates we now offer a Level 7 apprenticeship. Equivalent to a Masters degree, the programme aligns with globally recognised professional accountancy qualifications (ACA), as well as providing structured support and guidance for each apprentice’s wider development.

Our apprenticeship programme enables graduates to develop into a chartered accountant within 3 years through study for ACA. Study is provided by our first-class training partner, First Intuition based in Bristol.

Having partnered with First Intuition for a number of years, we have been consistently delighted with the training and personal support that they provide. Study is classroom based and includes mock exams ‘early hurdles’ and regular feedback on progress to ensure you’re on the right track.

We pay for all associated study costs, give extra days off for revision and exams and pay for travel expenses.

We recruit graduates into teams across all areas of the business from Audit, Business Services, Corporate Finance, Tax and our sector specialist teams.  So, wherever your interests lie, we have an opportunity for you.

We also offer the chance to spend time in other departments, ensuring you gain a wide range of experience whilst training which will not only help with your studies, but also provide insight into how other areas of the business work.

We welcome applicants from any degree discipline, with a 2:1 classification or higher, a keen interest in business and the necessary drive and resilience to succeed.

Stella Koria, Trainee

"I joined Hazlewoods in 2018 and I have had first hand experience of working with different clients. I have been supported thoroughly throughout my training contract which has helped divide my time between work and studying for the ACA. Being a part of the trainee committee has allowed me to ensure that all trainees are enjoying the social side of work and are integrating well within the firm.

I have been fortunate enough to be a part of the Hazlewoods centenary year, celebrating it with my team by climbing the Welsh Three Peaks for a charity called Maggie’s raising over £12,000."

Rebecca Cattermole, Associate

"I joined Hazlewoods in June 2019 and since then I have been working
with clients on a daily basis which has helped me to form strong connections. My role involves working on accounts and audits and is challenging, varied and very rewarding.

Hazlewoods is a fantastic place to work – everyone is so friendly
and supportive and since my time here I have built great relationships
with all of my colleagues. My favourite hobby is baking and I was involved in the Hazlewoods Run 1000 event where I did a 24 hour bake-athon."
